Lightwell is an Amsterdam-based organisation that produces innovative street lights, and keep itself busy with design and smart lighting. Design because they collaborate with controversial designers, smart because they use LED lights. The lamp can also charge your car. Kind of like a socket. Approach It was up to us to introduce the Lightwell products to the rest of the world, but also to potential investors. Another goal was to gain international media attention. Through the use of an intense PR approach we managed to trigger the trade media, followed by various newspapers. Finally, we contacted the international media through our database. Result In 2014, we started working with Lightwell, and we have managed to get featured in all trade publications as well as a fantastic interview in the FD and other newspapers. After CEO Henk Janssen managed to win the Amsterdam Entrepreneur Award in 2015, we reached further international media coverage which fitted in nicely with Lightwell’s plans to go global.
